The Roof is Falling!!

Last Sunday, my brother Bryan was over visiting and while we were hanging out I noticed some bubbling in our ceiling!!! Turns out there was a massive leak which resulted in our ceiling looked like this in less than 3 hours!!!!

Turns out the dishwasher on the first floor (we live in a basement aparment in my sister-in-law, Kahiki's house) was leaking for a really long time and finally broke through our ceiling.

Our poor kitchen looks like a construction zone. But 10 days later and our kitchen looks almost better!

Let's pray we dont get sick from any nasty's!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

My birthday was on Friday and look at what my friends at work did for me!!!

My desk smelled like ballons. It gave me a headache! I was very grateful that I have awesome coworkers and friends at work! Without them, my life would be unbareable boring and predictable!!

When I came home from work, I was overwhelmed by these B E A U T I F U L roses that Jesse got me!!!

After Jesse and I celebrated my 23rd birthday, I asked him if we could take our family portraits. Jesse is more than a good sport about it, which is more than I was excpecting!

I wanted to get him a new shirt for our first family portrait (to put in "Our Family Album"--in the nasty Kate Hudson voice from How to Loose A Guy...Mom, I know you get it ). Anyway, Jesse vanished at one point and when I found him, he wanted a new wardrobe...

Forgive the blurry photos, I was just laughing way too hard!!

Anyway, happy birthday to me!! And thank you honey for making it a dang good time!!

The latest.....

I finally uploaded all the photos off my AWESOME new camera that my WONDERFUL mother got me :)

Look at Kinsey all sexy like!!! This was 2 weeks ago when we were all out to dinner and Kinsey would not let me leave her side! Even when I had to cram myself in between her car seat and Creighton's car seat! I never knew how big my butt was until then....haha.
This is my best friend in Utah, Alex!!! (she's the one who got married :)

Over the summer, I took a short visit home for Ella's baby shower and I spent a whole day with Heidi, Bry, Kins, Creighton and Ma and Pa at the lake jet skiing. LOVE Creighton's face in this one!!!

Kinsey and Bry playing in the water at sunset. LOVE this picture :)

Kins and I practically ran that jet ski out of gas, we were riding it so much!!!

Catch up???

Okay, for real this time. I'm blogging. I promise this isn't a fake :) Jaydee and Heidi have inspired me, haha. Alex too!

So much has happened this year that I can't even remember. My best friend in Utah, Alex got married. Here are some of the photos!!

The wedding was B E A U T I F U L and hopefully I will have more photos up soon!!

On a less happy note, I want to recognize Scott McDonald, my cousin. He was involved in an accident that resulted in burns all over his battle. He fought it for a long five months before he lost his battle on August 8th, 2009. May our hearts and prayers go out to his family. We love you!!

Six weeks after Scott lost his fight, Jimmy Dan "Mick" lost his own with Lymes Disease and Alzhiemers. He was a good father and grandfather. He was my best friend growing up with his visits with me, long days taking care of his horses, dogs, the "Thunder Chicken" and day dreaming about Roping. His incessant nicknames for every one of us, mine being Snitz (good luck figuring that one out) and you were known as that and ONLY that for the rest of your life.

Grandpa always had a good joke up his sleeve, usually inappropriate but much needed to relieve life's everyday stresses. He was a great example of hard work, laughter, family and love and how life should be lived: every day to its fullest with no regrets and no worries.

His wife, Alice, stood by his side for year after year watching him slowly forget the life he lived, the people he loved most and the memories he held dear. I learned true compassion, love and dedication from my grandma and am proud to call her my blood.

Love you Gramps, may you be Always Remembered forever.

UPDATES!!!

"I can't focus..."

Jesse took this awful photo when I was hardly coherent after getting my wisdom teeth out. Notice we are still at the doctors office..

Hey guys!!! Its been SO LONG since my last post I KNOW!! so here is an update on EVERYTHING!!!!

First off, we bought our first Christmas Tree!! Now, I am a real fan of the real ones but one look at the price and I said heck no! We figured a fake one that looks ESPECIALLY real would do :) This year we did every color we could find (we are real fans of the colorful lights) AND as many lights as possible on the tree. At Lowe's after 2 weeks of searching, we found just the right one!!

It was beautiful and we were so excited. We kept it up from the day after Thanksgiving till Valentine's Day! We LOVED it!

I LOVE dogs. Unfortunately, we can't get one because we are still renting, so we compromised and settled on HAMSTERS!!! We got two females named Tina and Regina. (AKA Biggie Smalls- bahaha) One is significantly larger than the other. The one in the picture is Regina (AKA Biggie). This one is Jesse's. Smalls is mine. We LOVE them. Okay, so I love them more than Jesse, but he is the sucker who let me get them, right?!

After we got Tina and Regina, I was really wanting an upgrade from our ity-bitty TV. So, there was a Vizio on sale (which is what our little one was) so, we splurged! In the photo, obviously our new TV is on, while if you take care to notice our little one is in the bottom left corner. You may not be able to see it too clearly, but if you stare long enough, it will apprear :)

We then moved the little TV into our bedroom with a new bookcase (because we love new books), and Jesse set it all up and even decorated it while I was sleeping!

THEN, we decided it was time for a different bed comforter, though we didnt want to spend a fortune on a new one. So we caught a sale at Target and got this great comforter cover! Our orginal one is INSIDE IT! I thought that was great. haha.

Well, that is all guys! I have to get my top Wisdom Teeth out on April 10th so I will definately have more entertaining photos of my face that Jesse will probably want to post. haha.

loves!

My swelling isnt too bad, right??
OH!!! THANKS MOM AND DAD FOR THE AMAZING HOODIE!!! It's my new favorite!

Thought Process through Life.

At first I saw God as my observer, my judge, keeping track of the things I did wrong, so as to know whether I merited heaven or hell when I die. He was out there, sort of like the president. I recognized His picture when I saw it, but I really didn't know him. But later on when I met Christ, it seemed as though life were rather like a bike ride, but it was a tandem bike, and I noticed that Christ was in the back helping me pedal. I don't know just when it was that He suggested that we change places, but life has not been the same since. When I had control, I knew the way. It was rather boring but predictable ... It was the shortest distance between two points. But when He took the lead, He knew delightful long cuts, up mountains, and through rocky places at breakneck speeds, and it was all I could do to hang on! Even though it looked like madness, He said, "Pedal." I worried and was anxious and asked, "Where are You taking me?" He laughed and didn't answer, and I started to learn to trust. I forgot my boring life and entered into the adventure. And when I say, "I'm scared," He'd lean back and touch my hand. He took me to people with gifts that I needed, gifts of healing, acceptance, and joy. They gave me gifts to take on my journey, my Lord's and mine. And we're off again. He said, "Give the gifts away; they're extra baggage, too much weight." So I did, to the people we met and I found that in giving I received, and still our burden was light. I did not trust Him at first, to be in control of my life, I thought He would wreck it; But He knows bike secrets, knows how to make it bend to take sharp corners, knows how to jump to clear high rocks, knows how to fly to shorten scary passages. I'm learning to shut up and pedal in the strangest places, and I'm beginning to enjoy the view and the cool breeze on my face with my delightful constant companion, Jesus Christ. And when I'm sure I just can't do anymore, He smiles and says ... "Pedal."
